The Malta Individual Investor Programme (IIP) allows for the granting of citizenship by a certificate of naturalization to foreign individuals and their families who contribute to the economic and social development of Malta. Applicants must meet several requirements, including a contribution to the national development fund, an investment in stocks or bonds, and a property transaction. Once granted, citizenship is passed on to future generations by descent.

Successful applicants gain the right to live, work and study in any of the 27 EU countries and Switzerland. They can also enjoy visa-free travel to more than 160 countries, including the USA.
